Kathie was born in Southern California and raised in South Central Los Angeles. A magical child from the start, Kathie could see the "other side" as well as she sees this physical "reality". She would listen for hours to the voices of the angels that were gathered about her, as well as singing and dancing with the spirits and fairies who inhabited her yard and the natural world.

When Kathie was seven she was visited by her brother, Troy, who had died in the Korean War five years earlier. Troy pulled his little sister out of her physical body and escorted her to the heavenly worlds. They traveled together to these worlds many times, until Kathie was twenty-two, after which she continued the visits on her own. Because of Kathie's ability to view and visit the other side, she has benefited from the greatest of spiritual teachers, including Jesus, Buddha, Shiva and Babaji.

Kathie was blessed to be raised in a very loving two-parent home. Her mother, also a sensitive, provided Kathie with unqualified support in her unusual psychic adventures. Kathie's father worked double jobs to pay her way through college. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University at San Jose.

After graduation, Kathie married her college sweetheart. They were married for fifteen years and parted ways as friends. She has taught mysticism, both publicly and privately, for some twenty-five years. Her second husband, Jimmy Jordan, was her first student; they have been married for fourteen years.

Kathie learned accounting on the job. She works as an account executive for a Southern California business management firm. She has no children. The Birth Called Death is Kathie's first book - the first of a series.
